Ana Paula Pedroso Fernandes

Academic degrees:

I completed in 2013 the Master Degree in education with the defense of Supervised teaching Practice report, at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, University Nova of Lisbon, with the final classification of 17.
I held a degree in Languages, Literatures and Cultures (Portuguese and Spanish), Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon, in 2011, with the final classification of 17 values.
I held a degree in Modern Languages and Literatures (French and German),  Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon, in 1984,  with the final classification of 16.
I was trained in integrated teaching in 2007 with  the final classification of 16.5.
I completed a master's degree in French literature from the Faculty of Arts, University of Lisbon with the dissertation «La ritualisation du sacré dans le théâtre de Jean Genet», directed by Professor Urbano Tavares Rodrigues, in 1989, with the final clssification of very good.
I accomplished PhD in French literature of the 18th century by the Portuguese Catholic University, with the thesis under the title: «Le Voyage autour du monde de Bougainville: un regard curieux de l'autre», guided by Professor Kelly Basílio, in 2000, with the final classification of magna cum laude.


Research activity:

I was a research fellow of the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia from 2008 to 2012, with the research project: «The vision of Portugal by the French in the 18th century» 
I run a line of research with the title: «The vision of Portugal by foreigners» which had the collaboration of colleagues from national and international universities.
I focus my research and participation in national and international colloquia on 18th-century French literature, and more specifically on travel literature.
I have several publications in national and international magazines.


Professional activity:

I am currently French teacher in school education.
From 1993 to 2006 I lectured French, French literature  and French culture in Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Viseu).
From 1992 to 1993 I was an assistant professor in teaching French literature and Introduction to Literary Studies at the University of the Algarve.
From 1990 to 1992 I was an assistant professor in teaching  French literature and French for professional purpose  at the University of Évora.
