Maria Teresa Martins Marques Faria e Silva is an integrated researcher at the Centre for Lusophone and European Literatures and Cultures of the Faculty of Letters, University of Lisbon (CLEPUL), where he graduated in Romanic Philology (1975) and obtained her Masters degree in Modern and Contemporary Portuguese Literature (1992). She directed the organization of the literary estate of David Mourão-Ferreira (Ministry of Education/Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation), author/subject of her doctoral thesis. She directed and prefaced the edition of the Complete Works of José Rodrigues Miguéis at Círculo de Leitores (13 volumes between 1994 and 1996) and directed a new edition of the Complete Works of this writer for Assírio & Alvim. She is a collaborator of Colóquio-Letras, Jornal de Letras, Mealibra, Escritor and Atântida. Her main research focuses on Cesário Verde, Gomes Leal, Raul Brandão, Vitorino Nemésio, José Régio, José Rodrigues Miguéis, Eugénio Lisboa and João de Melo.
