Gianluca Miraglia

Graduated in Modern Languages and Literature at the University of Venice, Gianluca Miraglia completed a Ph.D at the University of Bologna, he lectured during ten years at the Universidade Autónoma of Lisbon. He dedicated himself to the study of fantastic literature of the XIXº century, publishing several articles and editing the Contos of Álvaro do Carvalhal, and of the relationship between erudite and popular culture in Almeida Garrett and in other Portuguese writers of the romantic period; he also published previously unknown text by Fernando Pessoa, wrote articles on the problem of translation, and edited in Italy an anthology of Portuguese short story, L’anima navigante
